The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques announced that the presidency has facilitated the performance of rituals by more than six million Umrah pilgrims and worshipers at the Grand Mosque in Mecca since the gradual resumption of the Umrah service and visit to the Two Holy Mosques, SaudiGazette reports.

Saudi Arabia has decided to lift the temporary travel ban and resume all international flights, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Friday citing a statement from the Ministry of Interior.

The move, which will come into force on March 31, 2021, includes the following measures:

1. Citizens will be allowed to travel outside the Kingdom and come back.

2. The temporary ban on international flights will be lifted.

The restoration of the Juma Mosque of the VIII century in the oldest Dagestan city Derbent is planned to be completed in 2022, Islam.ru website reports. The mosque is the oldest one in Russia. At the moment, the project is being finalized taking into account a number of features that were discovered by the restorers at the initial stage of work, told TASS agency the director of the Derbent Museum-Reserve, Viktor Chesnokov.

Charity Fund “Zakat” has resumed its charity dinners for those in need, the press office of Muslim religious Administration of the Republic of Tatarstan. Free portions of hot food were distributed in the park along Burkhan Shahidi Street in Kazan. Within an hour, the fund’s employees fed more than 50 people: those in need were given salad, first and second courses, bread and tea. The organizers plan to hold similar initiatives every Friday in future.

Muslim businessman from Naberezhnye Chelny, Rustam Gatin, provided hot food to several dozen of homeless and needy people of the region, Islam.ru website reports. According to him, they were mostly elderly people. “We fed them with pea soup, naval pasta, meatballs, as well as treated them with tea and cookies and gingerbreads. So far we are distributing food only once a week, but we plan to increase it to twice”, the man shared.

An unusual rescue mission took place in the town of Pokhvistnevo near Samara. For three days local residents watched a cat that climbed a tall tree and could not get down. The animal was exhausted from hunger and was very frightened. Photos of the situation have spread around local publics on social networks. As a result, Murat Valiev volunteered to help the cat. The young Muslim climbed a tree and rescued an exhausted, frozen and hungry animal.

Sad news came today, on November 23, from blessed city of Mecca. A descendant of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, a candidate of Sharia sciences, imam of one of the Juma mosques of Mecca, Sheikh Muhammad al-Aidarus has left this world.

The outstanding theologian dedicated his life to Islamic work. He is known all over the world as the one who spent days and nights teaching and educating his fellow believers. He was an excellent preacher and a true Muslim.

Muslims in Dagestan held a contest among girls on the best poem dedicated to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The festive ceremony of award took place in Humanitarian and Pedagogical College (HPC) in Makhachkala on November 20.

About 100 children from 3 to 10 years of old participated in the contest. Last Saturday the organizers awarded the winners of the all-girls competition for the best poem about the Prophet ﷺwith cash prizes and gifts.
