Prophet Salih (pbuh) and his camel

Source : IslamAwareness / 22 May 2014

After the destruction of the Ad, the tribe of Thamud succeeded them in power and glory. They also fell to idol-worshipping. As their material wealth increased so, too, did their evil ways while their virtue decreased. Like the people of Ad, they erected huge buildings on the plains and hewed beautiful homes out of the hills. Tyranny and oppression became prevalent as evil men ruled the land.

The Difference between Tasarruf and Karamah

By 'Allamah Mufti Muhammad Shafi' / 25 June 2013

The difference between tasarruf and karamah is that tasarruf comes about by the usage of natural means, like the imaginative or contemplative faculties, and it is from the commonly acquired skills. Acceptance from Allah Almighty and even being Muslim have no bearing on it, since many disbelievers like the Brahmans of India and the atheists of Europe called “Mesmerists” today perform it.

Allah sent Messengers to mankind and supported them with miracles that proved the authenticity of their prophethood. Allah also sent down Divine Books which contained divine legislations and teachings that benefit people and help them achieve happiness in this life and the Hereafter.

1) What is Islam?

Islam is not a new religion, but the same truth that God revealed through all His prophets to every people. “Islam” simply means peace through submission to God. Islam is both a religion and a complete way of life.

The Ruling on Istighathah

By Allamah Zafar Ahmad al-Uthmani / 24 Apr 2013

Seeking help from other than Allah is unanimously allowed in some situations, like asking for help from able-bodied living persons in matters ordinarily in their control, with the belief that the being from whom help is sought is only a means and a tool and is not independent of Allah in that action.

Mary: The Honored Mother in Islam

By Aisha Stacey / 15 Apr 2013

Esteemed and loved by all Muslims and known as a pious and devout woman, Mary, the mother of Jesus was chosen above all other women. Islam rejects the Christian notion that Jesus is part of a trinity that is God, and denies emphatically that either Jesus or his mother, Mary, are worthy of worship. The Qur’an categorically states that there is no god but God.

Such is God, your Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but He, the Creator of all things. So worship Him …(Al-An`am 6:102)
